Shane Mitchell – Site Supervisor
Shane has been working with members of the Innovation Team in construction since the early 90’s. While attending high school and college he worked summer jobs for the Innovation Team in Whistler. In 1996, after spending 2 years in the general arts program at the college of New Caledonia, Shane decided to pursue carpentry as a career and moved back to Whistler in order to combine his passion for skiing with his carpentry career. During that time he once again worked with the Innovation team expanding his knowledge and experience in construction. In 1998 Shane spent a year exploring his options in Manitoba. After this time away he moved back to Whistler and has been continuously working with the Innovation Team ever since. In 2005 Shane moved to Golden B.C. with his new family to work on Innovation’s new projects for KickingHorse Mountain Resort. Because of the superior quality of his work and his proven commitment to the Innovation Team’s building philosophy, Shane is now the Site Supervisor for all Innovation’s operations in Golden B.C.
Shane continues to enjoy all the outdoor pursuits he loved so much in Whistler. He is an avid skier, mountain biker, and like most Canadians enjoys playing hockey. Shane is also an active pilot, flying single engine Cesnas throughout the B.C. interior.
